Eat & Meet Lunches for Young Fulbrighters
The concept
The Eat & Meet lunches are monthly thematic lunches aiming to give young Fulbrighters the opportunity to meet up with the leaders in different professional areas. During these two hour lunches, a distinguished speaker will give an informal talk about his area of expertise at his or her Brussels office, giving a maximum of 10 young Fulbrighters the opportunity to have a better understanding of the professional area presented, to have a first contact with one of the Belgian leaders in that area and to get to know the other young Fulbrighters.
The past
Recently, we were invited to the beautiful headquarters of Fortis to meet with Bruno Colmant, Deputy CEO of Fortis, professor and author of various financial articles and books. We have also been hosted at Bekaert Kasteeltje, the former house of the founders of the Belgian steel wire and Bel 20 company, by Bert De Graeve (CEO of Bekaert and Manager of the Year).
The future
The two next Eat & Meet lunches will be hosted by:
- Axel Miller (Partner at Petercam) on September 8th, and
- Howard Gutman (US Ambassador to Belgium) on November 30th.

During those 2 hour lunches, a distinguished speaker will make an informal presentation about his area of expertise at his Brussels office, giving a maximum of 10 young Fulbrighters the opportunity to have a better understanding of the professional area presented, to have a first contact with one of the Belgian leaders in that area, and to get to know the other young Fulbrighters.
 The past Up to now the Eat & Meet lunches have had the honor of having the following speakers:

The future The second Eat & Meet season will start in September of this year with Lazaro Campos, CEO of SWIFT.
