Dear Alumni,
It’s been a little over a year since the new FAAB.be website went live, our association’s home on the internet. This would not have been possible without the extensive preparatory work of my predecessor, Dr. Erno Vandeweert and the technical assistance of the people at Esign. We hope you enjoy the new style. We enjoy a steady flow of visitors, coming to us from various sources. Especially the photo section has proved very popular; any contributions you may have from past events are most welcome.
We’ve tried to include all types of content we believe to be of interest to our current or prospective members. If you do believe something is missing, please drop us a line - we welcome your comments on improvements or suggestions for further development.
Those of you who signed up for electronic newsletter delivery will also undoubtedly have noticed the switch we’ve made from a basic listserve to a more modern e-mail management system. Not only does the newsletter now come in a customized style developed for the FAAB, it’s also easier to view the newsletter online if you wish to do so, obtain a PDF version, or manage your subscription. If you haven’t signed up for email delivery yet, you can do this straight from the front page of the web site. Please consider doing so, as this is ensures timely delivery as well as reduced postage costs.
The same front page of the site also enables easy signup for our LinkedIn group. Lastly, while we can offer all contact information to apply for membership, we’re sorry that we can’t provide an online application, nor online membership fee renewal payment options. Those features have been researched, but implementation costs proved to be prohibitively large for a small organization such as ours. We may change this in the future if costs become manageable – stay tuned for future updates! Dr. Guy Hermans, FAAB Webmaster and mailing list manager |
