Fulbright Belgium is on Facebook!

Fulbright Belgium is on Facebook. We finally got the picture: most Belgians aged 18-30 are using this form of social media and we were compelled to join. We currently have nearly 400 friends. With this platform, we are able to connect and chat with anyone online (meaning alums too!) and we are able to post information about our upcoming outreach events. Some of our advising sessions have become virtual and we can best talk to students over Facebook chat. We are also able to post pictures of outreach sessions and U.S. embassy receptions that we have recently hosted.

Over the last 18 months, Fulbright Belgium has interviewed over 250 young alums and students who have used our advising services. Thanks to the HUB recording studio at the U.S. embassy, we were able to film these interviews in their state-of-the-art studio. We asked questions about why candidates chose to study in the U.S., how they applied to schools, what exams they had to take and what tips they have about the Fulbright process. We have also interviewed Ambassador Gutman about the Fulbright-EducationUSA program.
